Position Summary
Aramco is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to join its Global Manufacturing Organization within the Technical Support team. This multi-disciplinary team serves technical and, in some cases, business support needs across Global Manufacturing Operating facilities.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, installing, managing, and maintaining instrumentation systems across multiple downstream facilities. You will also provide expert technical support on high-priority instrumentation systems issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance, support, training, and expertise to plant departments
- Monitor instrumentation system performance across all downstream departments
- Assess instrumentation performance and recommend optimization improvements
- Develop and maintain lifecycle management plans for instrumentation systems
- Establish auditing guidelines and perform regular instrumentation audits
- Lead development of new strategies and assess the feasibility of productivity enhancements
- Ensure knowledge is captured and maintained within a technical knowledge repository
- Deliver continuous improvement initiatives by incorporating benchmarking and best practices
- Conduct awareness sessions and lead technical exchanges and conferences
- Act as a subject matter expert and support troubleshooting activities related to instrumentation
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
- 12 years of experience in refining, oil and gas plants, or petrochemical industries
- Proficiency in industry codes and standards, including API, BS, ISO, ASME, ANSI, IEC, ISA, IEEE, etc.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
- Familiarity with a wide range of field instrumentation types and applications
- Solid knowledge of oil and gas-related plant processes
