Aerospace Inspection Solutions (AIS) is a team of non-destructive testing (NDT) inspection experts located in a newly built 80K SF state-of-the-art facility just minutes from the GE Aerospace HQ in Evendale, OH. The AIS team advances the art in technology development and low-rate NPI inspection in CT, Ultrasonic, Infrared, Eddy Current, FPI, Metrology, and other NDT modalities. We are seeking an Operations Leader to drive initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the AIS function. This individual contributor role will be responsible for maintaining and coordinating various operating rhythms, driving daily management through CCCs and PCC, scheduling and coordinating staff meetings, strategy sessions, training sessions, and engagement events, and coordinating with various departments on necessary data and projects. Additionally, the Operations Leader will be responsible for driving accountability across projects and action plans, OEE tool usage and capacity assessment for all equipment, maintaining and coordinating part and/or project tracking, establishing and maintaining standard work for the section, supporting purchase orders and material management, managing plant and equipment, managing and standardizing workflow process and all incoming/outgoing work, and process and metrics tracking. The Operations Leader will also be responsible for headcount and various other data collections that are used for ultimate decision-making. This role requires in-depth knowledge of best practices, experience in inspection solutions, experience identifying and implementing Lean change and processes, and experience working in a manufacturing/shop floor environment. The ideal candidate will be humble, transparent, focused, a strong communicator and decision-maker, a collaborative problem solver, and analytical-minded.

  • Aerospace Inspection Solutions (AIS) is seeking an Operations Leader to join our team. The AIS team is a group of non-destructive testing (NDT) inspection experts located in a state-of-the-art facility in Evendale, OH. We are dedicated to advancing the art in technology development and low-rate NPI inspection in CT, Ultrasonic, Infrared, Eddy Current, FPI, Metrology, and other NDT modalities.
  • As the Operations Leader, you will be responsible for driving initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the AIS function. This will be an individual contributor role, and your responsibilities will include:
  • Maintaining and coordinating various operating rhythms, including Monthly, Weekly, and other Operating Rhythms.
  • Driving daily management through CCCs and PCC, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across the organization.
  • Scheduling and coordinating staff meetings, all-hands, strategy sessions, training sessions, and engagement events (team-building, volunteer, and celebrations).
  • Coordinating with Finance, Engineering, HR, EHS, Compliance, and Programs on necessary data and projects to ensure alignment and timely execution.
  • Driving accountability across projects and action plans, ensuring timely delivery of results.
  • Driving OEE tool usage and capacity assessment for all equipment to optimize performance.
  • Maintaining and coordinating part and/or project tracking to ensure timely delivery.
  • Establishing and maintaining standard work for the section to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Supporting purchase orders and material management to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Managing plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Managing and standardizing workflow process and all incoming/outgoing work to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Process and metrics tracking to enable continuous improvement and optimization.
  • Responsibility for headcount and various other data collections that are used for ultimate decision-making.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 10 years of experience in operations/manufacturing engineering experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of operations/manufacturing/engineering experience.
  • Experience in Inspection Solutions.
  • Experience identifying and implementing Lean change and processes
