Inspecteur CND (NDT Inspector)

Position Summary:-

MISTRAS Group SAS is seeking an NDT Inspector (Inspecteur CND) to join its team in Saint-Nazaire, France. Operating within an inspection service framework, the inspector will carry out metal and visual evaluations on diverse equipment, such as pressure vessels and piping networks, while identifying metallurgical degradation mechanisms and establishing tailored inspection plans.

Responsibilities:-

• Perform visual inspections of pressure equipment, including piping, columns, drums, and heat exchangers.
• Identify operational risks related to equipment degradation modes and diagnose metallurgical flaws.
• Select and define appropriate non-destructive testing methodologies.
• Develop detailed control plans and draft technical inspection reports and customer certificates.
• Recommend suitable repair or maintenance interventions based on inspection findings.

Qualifications Requirements:-

• Baccalaureate to Bac +3 degree (e.g., BTS, DUT, License in Inspection, Metallurgy, Boilermaking, Physical Measurements, or Materials Science).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in metal inspection.
• Solid technical knowledge of pressure equipment, piping, metallurgy, and degradation modes.
• Familiarity with non-destructive testing concepts and regulatory standards (CODAP, CODETI, Arrêté du 20/11/2017).
• Valid Driver’s License (Permis B) and willingness to undertake short-term travel in France and internationally.

Preferred Qualifications:-

• Certifications such as UIC Level 1, AM 20/11/2017, EEMUA, IWT, IWE, or COFREND.
