Entry Level Technician

Position Summary:

The Entry Level Technician will assist the Level II NDE Technician with designated nondestructive testing (NDT) activities while gaining experience and technical knowledge. This role involves supporting technicians with equipment setup, maintenance, documentation, and adherence to company safety standards. It is a hands-on role with opportunities for career development in the NDT field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist technicians with setting up and dismantling equipment.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks, ensuring proper upkeep of equipment and facilities.
• Support accurate documentation and reporting of services provided.
• Learn and comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients, supervisors, and co-workers.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proven ability to follow directions and established procedures.

Work Conditions:

• Field duties require outdoor work in plant environments.
• Exposure to production machinery, including extreme noise levels.
• Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the safety department.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Clear speech and hearing, with or without reasonable accommodation, to ensure effective communication.
• Adequate vision and observational ability to conduct inspections.
• Manual dexterity to complete tasks and routine office duties.
• Physical mobility to travel, climb ladders, and access elevated platforms or confined spaces.
• Ability to work at various elevations and in restricted environments.
