Position Summary:-
TEAM, Inc. is seeking an entry-level NDT Assistant to support certified technicians in delivering nondestructive testing services at various client sites and locations. The position provides an opportunity to develop a career in asset integrity and inspection while supporting safety, operational excellence, and inspection activities.
The NDT Assistant will assist with inspection setup, equipment handling, documentation, radiation safety practices where applicable, and general field operations while following TEAM and client procedures.
Responsibilities:-
- Assist certified NDT technicians in setting up and performing inspections, including UT, MT, PT, and RT.
- Prepare and organize materials, tools, and equipment for testing assignments.
- Support radiation safety practices and help secure work areas for radiographic testing where applicable.
- Transport equipment to and from job sites while maintaining safe handling and inventory control.
- Ensure tools and work areas are cleaned and properly maintained.
- Complete field reports, timesheets, and other documentation as directed.
- Follow all safety rules, client site protocols, and TEAM's Life Critical Expectations.
- Perform general labor duties related to rigging, lifting, and access equipment setup.
Qualifications:-
Required Qualifications:-
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background check.
- Ability to obtain TWIC, DISA, and/or other site access credentials.
- Willingness to travel and work in environments associated with oil and gas, nuclear, power, municipality, aerospace, and other settings.
- Willingness and ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules as required.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various environmental conditions.
- Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:-
- Previous experience in NDT, construction, or industrial environments.
- Familiarity with basic NDT methods and terminology.
- Current TWIC, OSHA 10/30, or other industry-standard safety certifications.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools and equipment.
Requirements:-
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
- Sufficient mobility to maneuver in standard, refinery, or plant environments, including accessing elevated platforms through ladders and stairwells.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, and client personnel.
- Sufficient vision and observation capabilities to perform inspection-related duties.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to perform routine duties.
- Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in plant environments.
- Ability to work around production machinery and extreme noise levels.
- Ability to wear required safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
- Ability to tolerate climate changes when working at different job sites.
- Ability to travel out of town periodically.
- Ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and alternative schedules as required.
