Position Summary
Acuren is currently seeking Entry-Level NDT Assistants to support Nondestructive Testing operations in Marietta, OH. This callout-based position offers the opportunity to work hands-on with experienced technicians in a variety of industrial settings. The successful candidate will support certified Radiographers and NDT Technicians in the setup, calibration, execution, and documentation of inspections.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and use of Nondestructive Testing (NDT) equipment
- Support Radiographers in the calibration and operation of NDT tools
- Assist in performing tests to detect discontinuities (defects) or confirm product quality
- Record test results accurately according to procedure
- Transport, carry, and organize NDT equipment at job sites
- Perform general job duties as assigned by supervisors or site leads
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Some college coursework in a technical or engineering discipline preferred
- Prior technical or mechanical experience (e.g., shop, trade, or maintenance work) is a plus
- Must be able to meet Trustworthy & Reliable (T&R) standards per state and federal regulations (background check required)
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (MVR will be reviewed)
- Ability to pass drug/alcohol screening and background checks per client and DOT requirements
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable working outdoors and in varying industrial environments (heat, cold, noise)
- Willingness to travel to remote job sites as required by client demand
- Capable of standing, walking, climbing, and kneeling for extended periods
