Entry Level NDT Assistant

Position Summary

Acuren is currently seeking Entry Level NDT Assistants to support operations in Brookfield, WI, and surrounding regions. This is a callout/travel-based position, requiring up to 75% travel throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan, and Nebraska. Work environments include agricultural, pulp & paper, gas plants, refineries, and pharmaceutical facilities.

NDT Assistants will support qualified technicians by helping set up and operate nondestructive testing equipment, conduct calibrations, perform inspections, and record results, under direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Nondestructive Testing (NDT) equipment.
• Assist radiographers with equipment calibration and test execution.
• Support inspection activities to detect discontinuities or defects using NDT methods.
• Record and document test and inspection results in accordance with procedures.
• Carry and organize inspection equipment at job sites.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (some college preferred).
• Technical background is desired.
• Must meet qualifications to be certified as Trustworthy & Reliable (subject to federal/state background checks).
• Must have a clean driving record to operate company vehicles.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug, alcohol, and background screening per client and regulatory requirements.
