EMC Test Technician – Commercial

Position Summary

Element Materials Technology is seeking an EMC Test Technician to join their Commercial EMC team. This hands-on role involves preparing equipment, supporting test engineers, and performing EMC tests in compliance with commercial standards and internal procedures. The role is suited for individuals with a technical background, strong attention to detail, and an interest in defence and aerospace testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and assist with EMC testing of electronic equipment
• Operate test equipment under supervision
• Accurately record measurements and observations
• Prepare and maintain lab setups, equipment, and testing environments
• Adhere to internal procedures and support lab housekeeping
• Support site-based testing at customer premises when required

Skills and Qualifications

• Technical qualification (e.g., BTEC, HNC) in engineering or relevant experience in a testing/laboratory environment
• Familiarity with test equipment and safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Team-oriented and safety-conscious attitude
• Full UK driving licence

Additional Requirements

• Willingness to travel for customer-based testing
• Flexibility to work within the specified weekly hours
