Position Overview
Bilfinger is looking for an experienced EC&I QA Engineer to join their team. This role is approximately 80% focused on Quality Assurance (particularly Life Time Quality Record (LTQR) compilation and review), and 20% project facing, involving site inspections, toolbox talks, and walkdowns.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and supporting quality documentation
- Compile and review Life Time Quality Records (LTQRs)
- Provide technical QA/QC support across Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) projects
- Liaise with commissioning, completions, project engineers, and construction teams
- Review vendor/supplier ITPs and coordinate third-party inspections
- Guide and advise on E&I quality requirements and standards
- Raise Continuous Improvement Forms (CIFs) and engage with client QA departments
- Maintain documentation within the Company’s Business Management System
- Monitor and report on QA performance indicators and KPIs
- Conduct internal and external quality audits (supplier auditing experience is a plus)
- Promote and support a strong HSE culture within workshop and site teams
Experience and Qualifications
Essential:
- 3+ years in a highly regulated sector (e.g., Nuclear or Oil & Gas Construction)
- Demonstrable experience in ITP and LTQR compilation and review
- Strong background in E&I discipline, QA/QC, and Quality Management Systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Effective communicator with good report writing skills
- Current CSCS card
- C&G 2391 or equivalent testing & inspection qualification
Desirable:
- Member of a Professional Engineering Institute
- Member of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI)
- Current Security Clearance (SC)
