Position Summary:

The Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) will perform advanced structural and crane inspections as part of a structural inspection service line. The role involves conducting non-destructive testing (NDT) field inspections, ensuring compliance with applicable standards such as AWS D1.1, and maintaining high levels of quality and safety. This is a full-time union position offered on a per diem basis.

Responsibilities:

• Perform complete NDT field inspections based on customer and company procedures, with a strong focus on quality and safety
• Conduct advanced inspections as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) within crane and structural inspection markets
• Operate and interpret results using advanced NDT methods
• Ensure all inspection equipment is properly set up, calibrated, and fully functional in accordance with company and customer procedures
• Operate advanced NDT equipment, including calibration, field execution, and basic troubleshooting
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications, including conventional and advanced NDT standards

Qualifications:

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of CWI experience
• Experience in structural inspection markets in accordance with AWS D1.1
• High-strength bolting experience
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification

Preferred

• NDT training and experience (MT/UT)
• ICC certification

Requirements:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Visa sponsorship is not available
• Must meet company requirements to operate a company vehicle and be eligible for company insurance coverage
