Mechanical / CWI Inspector

Position Summary:

Fulkrum is seeking three Mechanical / CWI Inspectors for an active power and industrial construction project in Tennessee. This night-shift role involves performing field inspections focused on piping fabrication, piping installation, and structural steel activities. The inspectors will ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and AWS welding requirements while supporting quality documentation and construction closeout activities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform field inspections of piping fabrication, piping installation, and structural steel activities.
• Verify that construction work complies with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable codes.
• Conduct and document weld inspections in accordance with AWS requirements.
• Support non-conformance reports (NCRs), deficiency tracking, punch list items, and closeout documentation.
• Coordinate with construction teams and subcontractors to resolve quality-related issues.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and maintain QA/QC documentation.

Qualifications:

• Active AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
• Proven inspection experience involving piping and structural steel.
• Experience on power generation, gas facilities, industrial construction, or large EPC projects.
• Familiarity with standard inspection reporting and document control processes.
• Additional certifications (NDE, API, etc.) are a plus but not required.

Requirements:

• Must be eligible and authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship or visa.
• Availability to work night shift only.
• Ability to work the scheduled hours, including overtime
• No C2C arrangements (solicitation emails will be ignored).

Benefits:

• Hourly pay with 1.5x overtime for hours worked over 40 per week.
• Per diem offered to candidates who meet distance requirements.
