CWI Inspector

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for performing visual field inspections primarily on fabrication welds for natural gas pipelines and process piping. The role involves conducting internal and external inspections to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and acceptance criteria. This is a full-time, local position based in Syracuse, NY, offering benefits and paid time off.

Responsibilities:

• Perform internal and external inspections to verify items under inspection meet the acceptance criteria of applicable codes, standards, or governing documents.
• Conduct inspections on equipment at scheduled intervals to maintain mechanical integrity, as qualified and assigned.
• Properly interpret and apply regulations, codes, and industry standards relevant to inspection activities.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related field.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility verification required at time of hire.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Two (2) or more mechanical/professional certifications (e.g., API 653, AWS, NACE, etc.).
• One (1) mechanical/professional certification: CWI required.
• Must meet minimum company requirements to operate a company vehicle and be eligible for coverage under the company insurance program.
