Position Summary

TEAM, Inc. is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to perform visual inspections on welded products and structures to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications. This role supports NDT services and requires regular communication with clients, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to manage inspection documentation and reporting.

Essential Job Functions

  • Conduct internal and external visual inspections to verify weld quality per specific codes and standards.
  • Interpret and apply regulations, codes, and industry requirements accurately.
  • Ensure work complies with project specifications and requirements.
  • Compile and submit inspection reports, test plans, and status updates in a timely manner.
  • Maintain detailed inspection folders and review surveillance documents.
  • Schedule and lead pre-inspection meetings; communicate regularly with clients regarding schedules and activities.
  • Travel as needed for surveillance activities and site visits while minimizing expenses.
  • Adhere to TEAM’s safety practices, standards, and Core Values.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior industry-related inspection experience preferred.
  • Must hold a valid SCWI, CWI, or CAWI certification.
  • Must pass a vision test.
  • Willingness to travel (0%–50%).

Work Conditions

  • Work may be performed at branch or site locations, including indoor/outdoor plant environments.
  • Exposure to high noise levels and production machinery.
  • Required to wear appropriate safety equipment.
  • Must tolerate various climate conditions and travel to multiple job sites.

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Capable of walking, climbing ladders/stairwells, and maneuvering in refinery or plant environments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to maintain focus in fast-paced settings.
  • Sufficient vision, hearing, and manual dexterity to perform inspection and office duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Capable of multitasking and maintaining effective observation and investigation abilities.
