Position Summary
The Calibration Technician plays a vital role in supporting both in-house and external calibration needs at American Testing Services. This role is responsible for the calibration, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of a broad range of equipment used in non-destructive testing (NDT) applications. Working from the company’s Miamisburg, Ohio headquarters, the technician ensures the accuracy and precision of measurement tools used across lab and field operations.
Essential Responsibilities
- Conduct testing on equipment and instruments to verify readings and outputs align with expected standards.
- Perform installation of new or repaired equipment or components.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures and technical protocols during equipment servicing.
- Communicate effectively with clients, responding to inquiries and providing updates on equipment status.
- Prepare detailed calibration reports and certificates for internal and external customers.
- Travel to customer sites to perform on-location calibration and repair services.
- Execute additional duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Background in electrical or electronics disciplines is advantageous.
- Previous experience in equipment maintenance or a manufacturing environment is a plus.

- Physically able to lift over 75 pounds, crouch, kneel, climb, and work in confined spaces.
- Frequently exposed to risks including electrical shock, vibration, fumes, and mechanical parts.
- Occasional exposure to wet conditions and radiation risks.
- Work environment is typically quiet but may vary based on field conditions.
