Position Summary:

Applied Technical Services, LLC (ATS), is a prominent provider of critical testing, inspection, certification, and compliance services. Applied Technical Services, LLC. is actively seeking experienced Business Developers with an entrepreneurial spirit. In this role, you will have the exciting opportunity to expand ATS's presence in competitive NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) markets. Your primary focus will involve business planning, market research, and identifying/recruiting key individuals to provide NDT services. While ATS is particularly interested in regions like the Northeast, Central, Gulf, Rocky Mountains, and West Coast, candidates with the right skill set may also be considered for the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic.

Objectives:

As a Business Developer at ATS, your mission is to establish profitable and sustainable revenue streams by cultivating client relationships with a need for NDT, Engineering, and Labs services. Your responsibilities will encompass achieving revenue growth targets, maintaining accurate customer records in CRM, creating business plans, recruiting talent, and building strong client relationships.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Commercial Experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of NDT Service Experience.
  • CRM experience with SalesForce or Dynamics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Ability to travel between 50% to 80% of the time.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Graduate Degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance.
  • Undergraduate Degree in Engineering, Business, or Finance.
  • Experience working in industries like Pulp & Paper, Power Generation, Aerospace, or other industrial sectors.

Responsibilities:

In your role as a Business Developer at ATS, you will:

  • Achieve year-over-year revenue growth targets set by ATS Leadership.
  • Utilize CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) to document customer opportunities and maintain a sales pipeline for accurate revenue forecasting.
  • Develop business plans for target markets, industries, or geographic areas.
  • Identify and assist in recruiting qualified individuals for NDT services.
  • Establish key client relationships in the C-Suite and mid-level management.
  • Collaborate with ATS operations to align bid responses and coordinate client scheduling.
  • Proactively prospect for new business opportunities in all NDT departments.
  • Use various tools like databases, social media, and the internet for lead generation.
  • Attend trade shows to generate leads and represent ATS.
  • Mentor, teach, and train new sales team members as requested by ATS Leadership.

Additional Information:

  • Candidates must have the ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Applicants must pass a drug screen and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
