Boiler & Machinery Inspection Specialist

Position Summary

The Boiler and Machinery Inspection Specialist will be responsible for conducting in-service inspections of boilers and pressure vessels to ensure compliance with applicable codes and jurisdictional requirements. The role also includes performing boiler and machinery risk evaluations, claims investigations, and other related assessments, while maintaining accurate documentation in line with company and client standards. This is a remote position, offering flexibility to manage scheduling with limited supervision.

Essential Job Functions

• Performs in-service inspections of boilers and pressure vessels in compliance with ASME Code, National Board, and jurisdictional regulations.
• Conducts boiler and machinery risk evaluations, claims investigations, and related assessments.
• Prepares and maintains detailed inspection reports and documentation.
• Ensures all inspections are carried out to company, client, and regulatory standards.
• Manages responsibilities independently while working remotely.

Job Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in the boiler and pressure vessel industry, including design, fabrication, operation, repair, alteration, inspection, nondestructive examination, or quality control systems.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant industry experience.
• National Board In-Service Commission (required).
• High School Diploma or equivalent, with technical training in boiler and pressure vessel inspections.
• Current driver’s license and ability to maintain a territory.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
