Position Summary:
Bilfinger North America is seeking an NDT Assistant. This entry-level position is responsible for assisting NDT technicians, handling general equipment packaging/crating within a manufacturing center, and supporting field and shop non-destructive testing activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist NDT technicians during setup, calibration, and execution of non-destructive testing procedures.
- Handle general crating, boxing, organizing, and storing of inspection tools and equipment in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
- Support daily operational tasks, tool maintenance, and workplace safety practices.
- Maintain logs, field documentation, and inventory records as assigned.
Qualifications Requirements:
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Willingness and capability to work 40 to 50 hours per week.
- Must be local to the Lafayette, LA area (or La Porte, TX area as specified in the job posting).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of a 40-hour Radiation Safety course.
- Basic technical or mechanical aptitude.
