Position Summary:
TÜV SÜD is seeking an experienced NDT - AUT Level III Inspector to support the joint venture (JV) in reviewing, witnessing, and approving Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT) procedures for PETROJET’s pipeline project. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance for all AUT-related activities, from procedure development to final validation.
Main Responsibilities:
- Review and approve the AUT procedure submitted by PETROJET, the JV pipeline subcontractor.
- Review and approve calibration and demonstration blocks proposed by the subcontractor.
- Assist with demonstrations and scanning of the blocks at PETROJET’s installation facilities in Habshan, Abu Dhabi (shop work).
- Review and approve the Final Validation Report prepared by the subcontractor (desk work/back office).
- Act as the primary AUT Level III authority, supporting the JV throughout the procedure review, witness, and approval process.
Certifications Required:
- AUT Level III (Automated Ultrasonic Testing Level III)
- TOFD Level III (Time of Flight Diffraction)
- PAUT Level III (Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing)
Experience:
12–15 years of experience in NDT, specifically with Automated UT inspections and approvals.
Skills:
- Deep expertise in NDT Level III practices, including AUT, TOFD, and PAUT.
- Strong understanding of inspection procedures, calibration, and validation processes.
- Ability to work both on-site and in a back-office (desk work) capacity.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
