NDT - AUT Level III Inspector

Position Summary:

TÜV SÜD is seeking an experienced AUT Level III Inspector to support the joint venture (JV) activities in Abu Dhabi, focusing on the review, witness, and approval of Automated Ultrasonic Testing (AUT) procedures submitted by PETROJET for pipeline applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with technical standards and overseeing critical inspection phases, both on-site and in a back-office capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and Approve the AUT procedure submitted by the subcontractor (PETROJET) for pipeline inspections.
• Evaluate and Approve calibration blocks and demonstration blocks proposed by the subcontractor.
• Assist and Witness AUT demonstrations and block scanning activities at PETROJET’s facilities in Habshan, Abu Dhabi.
• Conduct Final Review and approve the subcontractor’s Final Validation Report (desk-based back office work).
• Act as a technical authority and provide AUT Level III expertise to the JV.
• Ensure adherence to project specifications, regulatory requirements, and TÜV SÜD quality standards.

Qualifications and Certifications:

• AUT Level III (Automated Ultrasonic Testing)
• TOFD Level III (Time of Flight Diffraction)
• PAUT Level III (Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing)
• Minimum 12–15 years of experience in NDT, with a significant focus on automated ultrasonic testing for pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of AUT standards, validation processes, and inspection protocol approvals.
• Proficiency in reviewing technical documentation and preparing validation reports.

Skills and Competencies:

• Expertise in NDT Level III inspection practices, particularly in pipeline applications.
• In-depth understanding of AUT equipment, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interfacing with subcontractors and JV stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in both site and office environments.

Location Details:

• Work Location: Habshan (on-site inspections), and Abu Dhabi (desk-based review work).
• Candidates must be willing and able to travel to PETROJET’s site installations as needed.
