Position Summary:

TEAM, Inc. is seeking an entry-level NDT Assistant to support certified technicians in the delivery of nondestructive testing services at various client sites and locations. This role serves as an entry point into the asset integrity and inspection field, supporting inspection operations while maintaining high standards of safety, operational support, and quality performance. The NDT Assistant plays an active role in ensuring safe and effective execution of inspection and testing activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist certified NDT technicians in setting up and performing inspections using methods such as UT, MT, PT, RT, and others in accordance with TEAM and client procedures.
  • Prepare and organize materials, tools, and equipment required for testing assignments.
  • Support radiation safety practices and assist in securing work areas for radiographic testing when applicable.
  • Transport inspection equipment to and from job sites while maintaining safe handling and inventory control.
  • Ensure tools and work areas are cleaned, organized, and properly maintained.
  • Complete field reports, timesheets, and other documentation as directed.
  • Follow all safety rules, client site protocols, and TEAM’s Life Critical Expectations.
  • Perform general labor duties related to rigging, lifting, and access equipment setup.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check.
  • Ability to obtain TWIC, DISA, and/or other required site access credentials.
  • Willingness to travel and work in environments including oil and gas, nuclear, power, municipality, aerospace, and other industrial settings.
  • Willingness and ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various environmental conditions.
  • Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in NDT, construction, or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with basic NDT methods and terminology.
  • Current TWIC, OSHA 10/30, or other industry-standard safety certifications.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to maneuver in refinery or plant environments, including accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
  • Adequate speech, hearing, and communication capability to interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
  • Sufficient vision and observation ability to support inspection and safety tasks.
  • Manual dexterity required for routine field and documentation activities.
  • Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
  • Willingness to work in indoor and outdoor environments in plant atmospheres with extreme noise levels.
  • Ability to work at multiple job sites in a day and adapt to varying climate conditions.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment for assigned tasks.
