Position Summary:

MISTRAS is seeking diligent individuals to join our team in the role of Equipment Maintenance Assistant. This position involves a range of responsibilities, including equipment setup, maintenance, documentation, and adherence to company policies. Additionally, for those aspiring to become Assistant Radiographers or Radiographer Trainees, this role includes specific responsibilities related to radiographic equipment operation and safety.

 Responsibilities/Activities:

• Collaborate with technicians in equipment setup and breakdown procedures.
• Execute routine and preventive maintenance tasks, including calibrations, ensuring equipment and facilities are in optimal condition.
• Maintain proper documentation and generate comprehensive service reports.
• Familiarize yourself with and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• For those pursuing roles as Assistant Radiographers or Radiographer Trainees, additional responsibilities include:
• Operating radiographic equipment only under direct visual supervision.
• Maintaining constant surveillance and control of radiographic equipment during use.
• Preventing unauthorized access to restricted areas while equipment is in operation.
• Promptly notify safety management personnel of any incidents and assist as required.
• Meeting NRC criteria for certification as trustworthy and reliable.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Flexibility to perform diverse tasks and respond to short-notice assignments, occasionally involving out-of-town and overnight travel.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with clients, supervisors, and colleagues.
• Preferred ability to interpret technical documents and engineering specifications.
• Demonstrated capability to follow precise instructions and procedures.
• Proven adaptability to evolving schedules.

Hourly Range: $17 - $19/hr
