Assistant NDT Technical Supervisor (Angolans Only)

Position Summary:

Oceaneering is seeking an experienced NDT Supervisor to support the execution of multiple Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques, ensuring high-quality monitoring of components in accordance with Oceaneering’s standards. This role will assist the NDT management team in providing efficient, safe, and cost-effective services to clients, overseeing the performance of NDT personnel, and ensuring compliance with HSE regulations. The position involves working in both onshore and offshore environments and requires frequent interaction with clients, ensuring all operational and safety requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the NDT Management Team/Project Manager to ensure smooth service delivery to clients.
• Assist in the daily management of NDT personnel, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Maintain high productivity and safety standards for all NDT operations.
• Conduct site visits to monitor safe working practices and perform audits as required.
• Deliver safety briefings and toolbox talks, ensuring all team members adhere to HSE protocols.
• Ensure equipment is used correctly and maintained in good condition.
• Perform radiographic work assessments, both on-site and off-site.
• Liaise with clients to meet their requirements and provide solutions where necessary.
• Supervise, coach, and mentor host country nationals and new/trainee technicians.
• Evaluate test results, report non-conformances, and ensure clear and concise reporting of inspections.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in corrosion monitoring/mapping and NDT inspection in the Oil and Gas Industry.
• PCN/CSWIP/ASNT certification at Level 2 in Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Eddy Current Testing (ET), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Dye/Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and Visual Inspection (VT).
• Offshore medical, BOSIET/Offshore Survival certification, and Confined Space Entry training.
• Knowledge of corrosion mechanisms, metallurgy, and QA/QC systems/procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows-based programs.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, piping and pressure vessel inspection, and repair procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Level 3 certification in any NDT qualification (PCN/CSWIP/ASNT).
• PMI Certification, IR Level 1, Radiographic Interpretation, and UT TKY are a plus.
• IRATA Level 1 or 2 – Rope Access is desirable.
• Experience in digital and real-time radiographic testing.
• Previous experience in coaching and mentoring personnel.
