Position Summary:
The ASNT Level III NDT Specialist is responsible for leading Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) operations with a focus on audits, personnel certification, training, compliance, and technical leadership. The role ensures adherence to applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements while supporting the development and certification of Level I and Level II NDT personnel.
The specialist serves as the technical authority for NDT methods, develops and approves procedures, conducts audits, and supports complex inspection activities. Positions are available in Hyderabad, Chennai, and Mumbai.
Responsibilities:
- Audit & Compliance
- Conduct audits of NDT procedures and personnel.
- Ensure compliance with ASNT, ISO, API, ASME, and customer standards.
- Review inspection reports to verify compliance and quality requirements.
- Training & Mentorship
- Develop and deliver NDT training programs.
- Mentor and support Level I and Level II NDT personnel.
- Assess personnel competency and training effectiveness.
- Personnel Certification
- Certify Level I and Level II personnel in accordance with ASNT guidelines.
- Maintain qualification, training, and certification records.
- Technical Leadership
- Serve as the technical authority for applicable NDT methods.
- Develop, review, and approve NDT procedures.
- Provide technical support for complex inspection activities.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare, review, and maintain NDT manuals, procedures, and reports.
- Support audit readiness and compliance documentation requirements.
Qualifications:
- ASNT Level III certification in any five of the following methods:
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
- Radiographic Testing (RT)
- Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
- Penetrant Testing (PT)
- Eddy Current Testing (ET)
- Visual Testing (VT)
- 8–12 years of experience in Non-Destructive Testing.
- Experience in audits, training, and personnel certification activities.
- Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of work experience in auditing.
- Minimum 8 years of work experience as a Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
- Demonstrated experience conducting NDT audits and ensuring compliance with applicable standards.
- Ability to certify Level I and Level II personnel in accordance with ASNT requirements.
