ASNT Level III NDT Specialist

Position Summary:

The ASNT Level III NDT Specialist leads non-destructive testing (NDT) operations with a primary focus on audits, training, and personnel certification. The role ensures compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements, develops and delivers training programs, conducts audits, and certifies Level I and Level II NDT personnel. The position serves as a technical authority for NDT methods and supports high-level inspection and compliance activities.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct audits of NDT procedures and personnel to ensure compliance with ASNT, ISO, API, ASME, and customer standards.
• Review and approve inspection reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Develop and deliver NDT training programs.
• Mentor and assess the competency of Level I and Level II NDT personnel.
• Certify Level I and Level II personnel in accordance with ASNT guidelines.
• Maintain and manage personnel qualification and certification records.
• Serve as the technical authority for assigned NDT methods.
• Develop, review, and approve NDT procedures and technical documentation.
• Provide technical support for complex and advanced inspection activities.
• Prepare and review NDT manuals, procedures, and reports required for audits and compliance.

Qualifications:

• ASNT Level III certification in any five (5) of the following methods: UT, RT, MT, PT, ET, VT.
• Eight (8) to twelve (12) years of experience in NDT, including audits, training, and personnel certification.
• Strong knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Minimum of eight (8) years of work experience in auditing.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of work experience as a Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
