Position Overview:

As an API Inspector at Applus+ RTD in Bakersfield, CA, your primary responsibility is to inspect items by job requirements, aligning with relevant codes, jurisdictional guidelines, and customer criteria. You may also oversee quality assurance/control on behalf of Aegeus clients. This role entails a wide range of inspection duties, documentation, safety enforcement, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform internal and external inspections to assess whether items meet the acceptance criteria defined by specific codes, standards, or documents.
• Conduct inspections on equipment at scheduled intervals to maintain mechanical integrity, following qualifications and assignments.
• Accurately interpret regulations, codes, and industry standards.
• Utilize computer systems for compiling and submitting daily reports, inspection reports, billing, and other necessary documentation.
• Ensure project specifications are followed diligently.
• Compile and submit completed inspection reports promptly.
• Pay close attention to detail, recommend and approve repairs, and perform visual inspections of completed work.
• Identify situations requiring the use of proper safety procedures and equipment.
• Maintain professional communication and relationships with customers and other stakeholders, enhancing the company's reputation.
• Learn and adhere to contract policies and procedures.
• Safely operate a vehicle in extremely hazardous conditions.
• Promote cross-functional teamwork with internal and external partners.
• Enforce and observe company-required safe work practices and procedures consistently.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a positive customer service attitude both internally and externally.
• Adhere to the requirements of safe operation and personal safety, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment and Safe Practices, as per company policy.
• Perform any other job-related tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is mandatory. Verification of employment eligibility will be requested upon hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
