API Inspector

Position Summary

Applus+ is currently seeking a qualified and experienced API Inspector to join its onshore inspection team on a FIFO basis. This is an ongoing position operating on a 2/2 roster, continuing through the end of the year and likely extending into 2026. Applicants must already be based in Australia, with flights available from major Australian capital cities. Please note: visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct API 510 and/or API 570 inspections in accordance with industry codes and client specifications
• Support the execution of inspection programs on pressure equipment and piping systems
• Accurately document inspection results and maintain detailed reports
• Collaborate with site personnel and engineers to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement
• Adhere to Applus+ and client safety standards and procedures at all times
• Participate in routine and shutdown inspections, reporting any findings or anomalies promptly
• Apply additional NDT methods where qualified, to enhance inspection outcomes

Qualifications & Requirements

• Essential:
• API 510 and/or API 570 certification
• IRATA Level 1 (for rope access inspection work)
• Must currently reside in Australia and be legally eligible to work (no visa sponsorship provided)
• Desirable:
• AICIP certification
• Additional NDT qualifications (e.g., UT, MT, PT, RT)
