Position Summary:
The ANSI Inspector is responsible for performing inspections on aerial lifts, bucket trucks, cranes, and digger derricks to ensure they are in safe working condition. The role involves evaluating major components through various testing methods, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting the integrity of lifting equipment operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections on aerial lifts, bucket trucks, cranes, and digger derricks.
- Acoustic emission testing to assess fiberglass and steel integrity.
- Magnetic particle inspections to identify surface cracks on ferrous materials.
- Torque testing of critical fasteners.
- Dielectric testing to verify electrical insulating strength in FRP components and systems.
- Evaluate equipment condition and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
Qualifications:
- Mechanically inclined with basic knowledge of mechanical processes, movement, and assembly.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Adequate visual acuity and perception to identify light, color, depth, and distance.
- Ability to work independently with some direction from management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Ability to stand, sit, squat, climb, crawl, and twist for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be punctual, accountable, and provide high-quality customer service.
- Willingness to travel for extended periods and work varying shifts, including weekends, overnights, and holidays.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
