Position Summary:
The NDT/NDE Technician is responsible for performing non-destructive testing and inspection services across various client sites. The role requires certified professionals who can execute inspections using multiple NDT methods while ensuring high standards of data accuracy, safety performance, quality, and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Perform nondestructive testing using certified methods in accordance with company procedures, client specifications, and applicable codes.
- Interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results using appropriate reporting systems and formats.
- Supervise and guide NDT Assistants and support personnel during field operations.
- Calibrate and operate NDT equipment and related tools safely and effectively.
- Coordinate with project managers and clients regarding job scope, access, and inspection outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation including reports, timesheets, and safety records.
- Ensure proper radiation safety practices where applicable, including dosimetry and barricading.
- Adhere to safety protocols, company policies, and site-specific requirements.
- Uphold professional standards, integrity, and quality expectations.
Qualifications:
- Multiple NDT Level II certifications or equivalent (ASNT/PCN/CGSB) preferred.
- Additional certifications such as API 510/570/653, CWI, or AMPP are advantageous.
- Radiation Safety Training or Industrial Radiographer certification (if applicable).
- Familiarity with digital reporting systems or NDT data software.
- Experience in industrial environments such as refineries, petrochemical plants, pipelines, or fabrication shops preferred.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background checks.
- Must be able to obtain TWIC, DISA, or other site access credentials.
- Ability to travel, work extended hours, and operate in challenging field environments including confined spaces and elevated areas.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
- Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset.
