Position Summary:

TEAM is seeking highly skilled Advanced Services Inspectors to perform specialized nondestructive examinations using advanced inspection methods and techniques. The role is designed for experienced professionals with strong technical expertise across various inspection modalities. Working within TEAM’s Advanced NDE group, the inspector will utilize advanced inspection technologies to solve complex challenges, reduce downtime, and improve asset reliability. The position involves leading inspection scopes, analyzing complex inspection data, interacting with clients, and delivering technical services with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and quality.

Advanced inspection certifications sought include API 510, API 570, API 653, CWI, AMPP, CR/DR, AUT PA-UT, and UTSW.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced NDE techniques in accordance with TEAM procedures, client specifications, and applicable industry codes such as ASME, API, and AWS.
  • Operate and configure advanced inspection equipment and scanning systems.
  • Collect, interpret, and analyze complex inspection data.
  • Prepare accurate reports, findings, recommendations, and technical documentation.
  • Interface directly with clients and engineers to communicate inspection results and ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Maintain proficiency in data acquisition software and digital reporting platforms.
  • Supervise and mentor junior technicians and assistants during advanced inspection activities and field operations.
  • Contribute to project planning, scan plans, procedure development, and technique qualification reviews.
  • Adhere to TEAM’s Life Critical Expectations and site-specific safety protocols.
  • Uphold industry codes and TEAM’s standards of professionalism, integrity, and quality.

Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications

  • Multiple Conventional NDT Level II or Level III certifications or ASNT, PCN, or CGSB equivalencies.
  • API 510, API 570, API 653, CWI, AMPP, or other advanced certifications.
  • Radiation Safety Training, IRRSP certification, or State Industrial Radiographer Card (when applicable).
  • Prior experience working in refineries, petrochemical plants, pipeline projects, or fabrication shops.
  • Current TWIC, OSHA 10/30, or other industry-standard safety certifications.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and background check.
  • Ability to obtain TWIC, DISA, and/or other required site access credentials.
  • Ability to provide documentation supporting one or more TEAM Level II Qualifications/Certifications in accordance with TEAM’s written practice and certification requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, clients, and supervisors.
  • Ability to travel and work extended hours as required.
  • Ability to work in field environments, including confined spaces, elevated work areas, and extreme weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic and safety-first mindset.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to access elevated platforms using ladders and stairways.
  • Sufficient mobility to work in refinery, plant, and industrial environments.
  • Sufficient speech, hearing, vision, and observational abilities to perform inspections and communicate effectively.
  • Manual dexterity required for office and field-related tasks.
  • Ability to maintain focus, multitask, and travel as necessary.

Work Conditions

  • Based at a TEAM field office or client site location.
  • Indoor and outdoor work in plant and industrial environments.
  • Frequent interaction with crew members, supervisors, clients, and engineering personnel.
  • Exposure to production machinery and extreme noise levels.
  • Use of required personal protective equipment.
  • May work at multiple job sites within a single day.
  • Periodic out-of-town travel may be required.
  • Ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and alternative schedules.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying environmental conditions.
