Position Summary
The Advanced NDT Technician supports CAN Group’s Advanced Inspection Department by delivering advanced non-destructive testing services to support newly awarded and long-term Integrity Management and Inspection Enactment contracts across the UK. The role focuses on the application of advanced ultrasonic inspection techniques for new build and in-service inspections, ensuring inspection activities are carried out in line with required certifications, safety standards, and project needs.
Job Description
- Due to an increase in planned UK work, the Advanced NDT Technician is responsible for supporting advanced inspection activities in the following areas:
- Phased Array Ultrasonic testing for new build and in-service corrosion mapping, including experience using HydroFORM and FlexoFORM scanners
- Time of Flight Diffraction (ToFD) for new build and in-service inspection
- The role requires the application of advanced NDT techniques in field environments to support integrity management and inspection delivery across assigned contracts.
Qualifications and Certifications
- PCN Level 2 (or ISO 9712 equivalent) certification preferred in both Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing and ToFD, with proven field experience
- Current and valid Offshore Survival certification (BOSIET/FOET)
- UKOOA Medical certificate including audiometry
- MIST (Minimum Industry Safety Training) certification
- IRATA Rope Access certification (minimum Level 1)
