Position Summary

TEAM, Inc. is seeking an Advanced NDT Technician to perform inspections utilizing advanced non-destructive testing techniques such as Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (UTPA), Computed Radiography (CR), Digital Radiography (DR), and Eddy Current Testing (ET). The technician will work independently to detect corrosion, defects, or other structural concerns according to detailed written criteria. This role involves interpreting inspection results, generating accurate reports, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards across various job sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct advanced NDT inspections using UTPA, CR, DR, or ET in accordance with certification level.
  • Interpret indications and prepare detailed inspection reports per company requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant work environment in accordance with legal and company safety standards.
  • Supervise apprentices on job sites and mentor junior team members.
  • Communicate processes, procedures, and inspection results to clients and team members.
  • Maintain active certifications in applicable NDT methods.

Experience and Certifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the NDT field with at least one advanced NDT method.
  • Certified to Level II in at least one of the following: UTPA, CR, DR, or ET.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong communication and report-writing skills in English.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and general computer usage.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or within a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple job sites and tasks effectively.

Work Conditions and Requirements

  • Position is field-based with both indoor and outdoor work environments, including plants with high noise levels.
  • Must be able to wear all required PPE and work under varying climate conditions.
  • Travel requirement: 0–75%, with possible overnight or extended assignments.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Capable of walking, climbing ladders/stairs, and accessing elevated platforms.
  • Sufficient vision, hearing, and mobility to perform detailed inspections and investigations.
  • Must be physically able to work in confined spaces and industrial environments.
