Position Summary:
Bureau Veritas, a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification, is seeking an Advanced Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician to join our dynamic team in Saint-Genis-Laval (69). You will provide high-value NDT services using advanced and conventional techniques, ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specialist NDT Services: Act as a specialist in advanced NDT services and provide expertise for SME/SMI industrial clients and major accounts across various industries, including manufacturing, aeronautics, naval, petrochemical, energy, wind, and nuclear sectors.
- Compliance and Safety: Perform inspections, assessments, and technical assistance in compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
- Client Advisory: Offer advice and solutions to clients’ technical problems, providing independent third-party expertise on installations and equipment in manufacturing and operational contexts.
- Reporting: Prepare and deliver control or expert reports, certificates of conformity, and other documentation following the completion of your missions.
- Client Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing technical support, promoting Bureau Veritas’s product and service offerings, and communicating client needs to the sales department.
Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum Bac +2 (equivalent to a higher national diploma) in Mechanics, Metallurgy, Physical Measurements, or Materials Science.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in NDT, with applications in manufacturing, maintenance, or monitoring.
- Expertise: Strong knowledge of NDT/END, particularly ultrasonic methods. Experience with advanced UT methods (UTPA, TOFD, TFM) is a plus.
- Certifications: Multiple COFREND ISO 9712 certifications, including UT2 CIFM, are highly desirable.
- Skills: Proficient in IT tools, with excellent writing and interpersonal skills. Strong customer service orientation, teamwork, adaptability, and a passion for knowledge sharing and pedagogy.
- Mobility: Available for frequent regional travel. A valid B driving license is required.
