Position Summary
TEAM Inc. is seeking a qualified Advanced NDT Technician / Analyst to perform inspections using advanced NDT techniques such as Eddy Current and Remote Field Testing (RFT) to detect corrosion, defects, or other detrimental conditions in accordance with written criteria. The technician will be responsible for interpreting indications, reporting results, and communicating inspection processes and findings to customers. Additionally, the role includes training apprentices in NDT methods.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintain a safe and compliant working environment by following company/customer safety practices and legal standards
- Perform all duties in line with TEAM’s Core Values
- Supervise apprentices on job sites
- Maintain and utilize advanced NDT certifications
- Conduct inspections using advanced NDT techniques
- Interpret and report inspection results
- Draft or approve advanced NDT procedures when required
- Train and qualify apprentices and other technicians
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Minimum 4 years of NDT experience as a certified technician in at least 2 methods
- Level II certification in Eddy Current and/or IRIS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and computer-based equipment
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
- Willingness to travel up to 75%
Work Conditions
- Role is based out of a branch or on-site location
- Indoor and outdoor work in plant atmospheres, including noisy environments
- Interaction with crew members, supervisors, and client personnel
- Required use of safety equipment as per company standards
- May need to travel between multiple job sites in a single day
- Occasional out-of-town assignments
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
- Capable of walking, climbing, and maneuvering in plant environments
- Sufficient communication and sensory abilities, with or without accommodation, to perform inspection and office duties
- Manual dexterity and mobility to handle tools, computers, and other job functions
- Ability to multitask, stay focused, and communicate effectively in a field or office setting
