Position Summary:

The Advanced Services Inspector is responsible for performing specialized non-destructive examinations using advanced inspection methods and techniques. The role involves leading inspection activities, analyzing complex data, and serving as a subject matter expert in advanced NDE applications. The inspector works closely with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality inspection services while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced NDE techniques in accordance with company procedures, client specifications, and industry codes (ASME, API, AWS, etc.).
  • Operate and configure advanced inspection equipment and scanning systems.
  • Collect, interpret, and analyze complex inspection data and provide accurate reports and recommendations.
  • Interface directly with clients and engineers to communicate inspection findings and ensure objectives are met.
  • Maintain proficiency in data acquisition software and digital reporting platforms.
  • Supervise and mentor junior technicians and assistants during inspection activities.
  • Contribute to project planning, scan plans, procedure development, and technique qualification reviews.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including Life Critical Expectations and site-specific requirements.
  • Uphold industry standards and company expectations related to professionalism, integrity, and quality.

Qualifications:

  • Multiple conventional NDT Level II/III certifications or equivalent (ASNT/PCN/CGSB).
  • Certifications such as API 510/570/653, CWI, AMPP, or other advanced inspection qualifications.
  • Radiation Safety Training or Industrial Radiographer certification (if applicable).
  • Experience working in refineries, petrochemical plants, pipeline projects, or fabrication shops.
  • TWIC, OSHA 10/30, or similar safety certifications are advantageous.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background checks.
  • Ability to obtain TWIC, DISA, or other site access credentials.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, peers, and supervisors.
  • Ability to travel, work extended hours, and operate in challenging field environments including confined spaces and elevated work areas.
  • Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset.
