International Symposium on Piezocomposite Applications (ISPA) 2026
The International Symposium on Piezocomposite Applications (ISPA) is an international platform focused on piezoceramic composite technologies and their applications in extreme environments and mission-critical systems. The symposium brings together researchers, engineers, and industry professionals working to advance piezocomposite materials and their use in demanding real-world applications, ranging from deep-ocean systems to aerospace and space technologies, as well as from microscale sensors to large structural propulsion systems.
ISPA addresses the complete piezocomposite value chain, covering piezoceramic and other piezoelectric materials, component technologies, and industrial applications, while also considering regulatory requirements governing the manufacture and use of these materials. Particular attention is given to advanced characterization methods and devices.
Key Technical Areas:
- Underwater Applications: Piezocomposites for underwater communication, sonar, autonomous underwater vehicles, and energy harvesting for self-powered sensors.
- Ultrasound Applications: Medical ultrasound, non-destructive testing (NDT), structural condition monitoring, ultrasound tomography, and acoustic scanning microscopy.
- Electromechanical Applications: Piezocomposite actuators and transducers for de-icing, vibration control, and shape modification.
- Extreme-Environment Applications: Piezoelectric composite technologies designed for extreme thermal, mechanical, and chemical conditions across aerospace, marine, energy, mobility, and emerging industrial sectors.
The symposium programme includes keynote presentations, technical lectures, poster sessions, and an industry exhibition, along with networking opportunities that facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration between research and industry.
