The DGZfP has always attached particular importance to the training of NDT personnel.

More than 50,000 trainees have attended DGZfP courses over the past 60 years. Courses and examinations are now held in nine NDT methods at three different levels. The DGZfP also offers initial and advanced radiation protection training in accordance with the relevant guidelines.

Its extensive training programme makes the DGZfP the largest trainer of NDT personnel in Europe. It has numerous full and part-time teaching staff at its disposal to guarantee a high standard of training in keeping with practical requirements.

In March 1994 the DGZfP’s Personnel Certification Body (DPZ) was accredited by the German national accreditation body (DAkkS) and now issues certificates complying with EN 473 and ISO 9712. Since 2001 DPZ is a Recognized Third Party Organization for NDT Personnel according to the European Pressure Equipment Directive.

The DGZfP encourages international communication between research and development institutes, on the one hand, and NDT users, equipment manufacturers and service providers, on the other, by organizing multinational conferences.

The DGZfP is member of EFNDT and ICNDT, the European and worldwide associations of NDT societies.
