AITA 2027 & Thermo 27

The AITA & Thermo Joint Conference 2027 will take place from 6–9 September 2027 in Dresden, Germany, bringing together two well-established international conferences in the field of infrared thermography: Advanced Infrared Technology & Applications (AITA) and Thermo (formerly Thermografie-Kolloquium). The joint event aims to create a comprehensive platform for collaboration between researchers, engineers, technology developers, and industrial practitioners working in infrared technology and thermographic applications.

Held under the theme "Bridging Science and Industry in Infrared Thermography," the conference seeks to combine AITA's strong academic and scientific foundation with Thermo's emphasis on non-destructive testing (NDT) research and industrial implementation. The event is designed to encourage the exchange of knowledge, promote innovation, and strengthen collaboration between scientific research and real-world industrial applications.

The conference will feature 3.5 days of technical sessions dedicated to the latest developments in infrared technology and thermography. Participants from around the world will present research findings, discuss emerging technologies, and share practical experiences across a wide range of applications.

The programme is expected to provide a forum for:
Scientific research in infrared technology
Advances in infrared thermography
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) applications
Industrial case studies
Emerging inspection techniques
Technology innovation and development
Cross-disciplinary collaboration

The conference aims to facilitate discussions that bridge academic research with practical industrial solutions, supporting the advancement of infrared-based inspection technologies.

About German Society for Non-Destructive Testing

The German Society for Non-Destructive Testing (DGZfP) is for everyone: whether students, professors, pupils, teachers, people working in industry or simply people interested in non-destructive testing (NDT).

The DGZfP sees itself as the voice of non-destructive testing (NDT) and as a platform for those interested in NDT. As a non-profit organization, it pursues no commercial interests. Within the DGZfP, young scientists meet professors, interested individuals meet experts, and young people meet experienced professionals. Together, they all unite to form the leading force in non-destructive testing.
