UT Level II Training Course

The UT Level II training course provides a comprehensive training program for individuals seeking to enhance their ultrasonic examination skills. This course covers the principles and theory of ultrasonic examination and is designed to review the essential principles of ultrasonic testing, including testing techniques, equipment, and calibration.

Participants in this course will gain a solid understanding of the evaluation of base-material product forms, including process review, types, origin & orientation of associated discontinuities and their responses to ultrasound, and applicable codes & standards for each. Additionally, this course covers the evaluation of weldments and bonded structures, including discontinuity detection techniques and evaluation procedures.

The course will focus on providing practical training in the evaluation of objects and materials using ultrasonic techniques. Participants will learn how to identify and evaluate discontinuities in base materials, weldments, and bonded structures. This will include the use of advanced ultrasonic evaluation procedures, such as phased array and time-of-flight diffraction.

Overall, this course provides an excellent opportunity for participants to enhance their ultrasonic examination skills and develop their expertise in the evaluation of materials and structures using ultrasonic techniques. Upon completion of the course, participants will be well prepared to take the ASNT Level II certification exam.
