Responsibilities of Certified UT Level III:

Upon successful completion of this course and obtaining Ultrasonic Testing Level III certification, individuals will be qualified to:

• Perform and direct Ultrasonic Testing operators in the specific sector of wrought products.
• Evaluate and interpret testing results by standards, codes, and specifications.
• Apply practical knowledge of materials, fabrication, processes, and product technology to select appropriate testing methods and establish acceptance criteria.
• Demonstrate a general familiarity with other non-destructive testing methods.
• Assume full responsibility for test facilities, examination centers, and staff.
• Establish, review, and validate ultrasonic testing instructions and procedures.
• Interpret codes, standards, specifications, and procedures.
• Designate specific ultrasonic test methods, techniques, and procedures to be used.
• Carry out all tasks at all levels within the scope and limitations of the certification.
• Guide Ultrasonic Testing personnel at all levels.
• Manage and supervise PCN qualification examinations on behalf of the British Institute of NDT (BINDT).
• Note: It is strongly recommended that Level III personnel maintain Level II certification in the applicable method(s) and sector(s) to effectively fulfill their routine NDT duties within specific product or industry sectors.

Training Duration:

• The training for Ultrasonic Testing Wrought Product - Level III is conducted over 40 hours, following the successful completion of the PCN Basic Exam.

Work Experience Requirement:
