• Principles of magnetism and flux leakage fields.
• Basics of electricity and waveform descriptions.
• Magnetic hysteresis and its importance.
• Methods and sequences for magnetization.
• Types of magnetizing equipment used.
• Detection media and flux/field indicators.
• Interpretation and recording of indications.
• Demagnetization processes and equipment control checks.
• Preparation of techniques and report writing procedures, with a focus on interpreting relevant specifications.

Assessment:

Throughout the course, students are subject to continuous assessment, which includes homework assignments, progress tests, and both theoretical and practical end-of-course examinations.

Certification Options:

Upon successful completion of the course, students have the opportunity to take approval examinations in Magnetic Particle Inspection at Level I, II, or Level III. These examinations align with industry standards such as SNT-TC-1A, NAS 410, or BS EN 4179, following their respective company's written practice.

Level III Services:

Additionally, The International School of Aerospace NDT offers Level III services as defined in the industry documents mentioned above. We act as an outside agency, providing expert inspection services for aerospace applications.
