Course Description: 

40-Hour Eddy Current Level 1 Training

Lavender International offers a comprehensive 40-hour Eddy Current Level 1 training program, designed to provide a strong foundation of theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of Eddy Current Testing.

The course is divided into two parts - General Theory and Specific Theory - that cover a wide range of topics relevant to the method, including the history of testing, basic principles of testing, generation of eddy currents using an AC field, effect of fields created by eddy currents, principles of magnetization, types of eddy current sensing elements, safety as applicable to eddy current testing and electrical safety, and more.

In addition to the general theory, the course also covers the application of the method and the use of codes, specifications, and procedures applicable to the company, including relevant control checks.

Our Eddy Current Level 1 training is suitable for candidates seeking PCN/EN473/ISO 9712 Levels 1, 2, and 3, as well as ASNT Level 3 certification. Alternatively, we offer training suitable for candidates working in an employer written practice based on SNT-TC-1A; EN4179, and NAS410.

It's worth noting that Eddy Current Testing is separated into three specific product sectors for certification purposes: Welds, Wrought Products (Forgings), and Tubes.

By the end of the course, participants will have acquired the necessary skills and knowledge to perform Eddy Current Testing Level 1 procedure and assessments competently, ensuring the safe and effective application of the method.
