UR18-D Ultrasonic Rail Flaw Detection Vehicle

The UR18-D Ultrasonic Rail Flaw Detection vehicle, adopts ultrasonic wheel probe technology, with two 9 channels ultrasonic wheel probes. Data from a total of 18 channels of two rails are displayed on an LCD screen, the military-grade high-intensity in the form of a B-scan. The wheel probe ensures the good coupling of ultrasound, which is on the track with high wear on the curve section, or the track with bad rail surface, and can effectively detect the flaws at the rail head, rail bolt hole breaks and transverse defect at the rail base. The detection rate can be up to more than 90%.

The detection vehicle is equipped with an alarm system, for automatically pop-up a zoomed window, with a view of the alarm section, which is convenient for the operator to make decisions in real-time. The vehicle frame material is Titanium alloy, a patented split design with each part less than 60kg. , The vehicle uses a lithium battery for environmental protection continuous power, and energy saving with a detection speed of 15 kilometres per hour. Product Details:

UR18-D ultrasonic rail flaw detection vehicle uses lithium battery drive, patented disassembled structure design. As a result, only two people can carry every module. The travel speed of the vehicle is 20km/h, the detection speed is 15km/h. This automatic ultrasonic testing vehicle is suitable for different railroads, such as state-owned railways, private railways, ports, mineral company tracks and also city metro. 

System Components

  • The dual-rail ultrasonic rail flaw detection vehicle contains a probe, instrument, probe centring mechanism, walking platform and auxiliary device.
  • The running platform consists of the vehicle body, walking wheel, transmission device, brake device power supply, etc.
  • The auxiliary device contains safety protection devices, lighting devices, meters and a coupled water tank.

Technological Requirement

  • The primary and secondary waves are to detect transverse cracks in the rail head.
  • Overall components facilitate the adjustment and maintenance of all parts. with a lightweight, modular design, a single module not exceeding 60kg, and total weight exceeding 240kg (excluding battery and coupled water), and assembly or lower disassembly within 5 minutes.
  • Running operation and detection system can be controlled independently, and can drive in two directions.
  • Maximum driving speed: not less than 20km/h.

Disassembled Structure

The UR18-D ultrasonic rail flaw detection vehicle platform is disassembled, as a result, only two persons are necessary to carry each part, and the weight of each part is less than 48kg, so this feature makes operation easier.

GT6600 Hi-Rail Ultrasonic Flaw Detection Vehicle

The new generation of GT6600 hi-rail ultrasonic rail flaw detection vehicle is based on our hi-rail vehicle platform. The vehicle can test at speeds up to 40km/h. When off track, the hi-rail gears can be retracted and thus the vehicle can be driven on the road. The test carriage is hydraulically controlled and can be remotely operated. The hi-rail ultrasonic rail flaw detection vehicle is suitable for long-distance testing under the very worst environment. It has the characteristics of high-speed testing while maintaining a high detection rate with easy operation.  It features two-wheel probes on each rail for a total of 18 channels. It can detect transverse defects at the rail head, bolt-hole breaks and transverse defects at the base.

GT6600 Hi-Rail Ultrasonic Flaw Detection Vehicle

With the development of the speed train in the world, even though the existing train speeds are increasing to 200km/h, the operation of traditional hand push cart brings a lot of risks to the operator’s safety, the railroad decided to use maintenance window to do the rail flaw detection operation, and not allow the detection during the short interval of the trains, in this situation, the traditional hand push cart is very difficult to finish the inspection of a typical station interval of 30km within 120~180 maintenance timing window. Therefore, the market demand for high-speed detection equipment is higher and higher, our GT6600 has been successfully developed and put into production in such background.

RT10-C Hand Push Portable Rail Flaw Detector

RT10-C is a hand-push portable rail flaw detector. It offers both A-scan and B-scan with B-scan as the recommended testing mode.  The B-scan is continuously recordable and is driven by a shaft encoder. With a pulse every 3 mm and a properly configured 9-channel wheel probe, the system provides the most reliable rail flaw detection.  Windows user interfaces are built into the instrument.  The operation of the instrument is essentially like the operation of a high-speed testing vehicle, the operator can even put icons on the screen. With high brightness LCD screen and operation range from -30oC ~80oC (-22oF~122oF),  the instrument can operate in the most tough environments. The instrument has the following specifications.

RT10-C Hand Push Portable Rail Flaw Detector

The RT10-C hand push portable rail flaw detector, adopting a common single rail detection trolley by manual, uses a customized chassis, a high-performance industrial computer and three prevention tablet computers, which ensures that the detection system can have high reliability, easy-to-carry even in harsh field working environment. The double scanning system can detect the rail in an all-round way, which has the characteristics of accuracy, timeliness and comprehensiveness, and the flaw detection rate can reach more than 90%.
