Overview

SG NDT was founded in the spring of 2012 with the aim of designing and manufacturing innovative solutions in non-destructive testing, an industry where conventional methods are rather favored. Our revolutionary phased array solutions are used in many fields such as aerospace, energy and industrial manufacturing. The increasing number of devices sold testifies to the international success that is the S2G2-800. Its extraordinary performances have satisfied even the most reluctant. Since its release in 2017, more than 100 devices have been delivered worldwide. We are now referenced by the largest manufacturer customers.

Products & Services
S2G2-WS

The S2G2-WS is our newest inspection device. It was launched on the market in the summer of 2021.

Presentation

A device that is simple to use and adjusted for you

We have added features in addition to improving existing ones, while providing the same excellent signal-to-noise ratio.

Several distinctive advantages are found in this new invention created by SG NDT. New features improve performance in a redesigned package.

A more mobile product

The instrument weighs approximately 4.75 kg (9.92 lbs). It is easy to transport, very robust and its weight makes it the most compact eddy current device on the market.

Built-in versatility

The non-destructive testing of surfaces is based on several engineering techniques. The preferred technique depends on the material being inspected and the final application.

With the S2G2-WS, the possibilities are endless. Maximize capabilities by combining several of the following technologies to meet your specific needs:

  • Mobility – 9.9 lbs
  • Eddy Currents (EF/ECT)
  • Eddy Current Array (ECA)
  • Far Fields (RFT)
  • Multielement Far Fields (RFA)
  • Champs Proches (NFT)
  • Near Field Arrays (NFA)
  • Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL)

Benefits

An ideal PCB for your needs

  • Interchangeable batteries – 8 hour runtime in the toughest inspection conditions
  • WIFI – Control the device remotely without an ethernet cable
  • Built-in multiplexer driving up to 32 channels
  • Up to 512 channels with remote multiplexer
  • Several connectors for various applications are grouped together on a single device
  • Proven and Improved Versatility

Tailor your product to your specific needs and pay a targeted price

Our software applications team will make it easy for you. We present two integration examples that demonstrate the potential of this new equipment.

Application

The µS2G2 provides ECA technology in a very compact, rugged and portable package. Its compact size makes it easy to deploy on a robotic arm, crawler or for difficult access inspections such as confined spaces, vertical structures and slightly radiative environment. With a weight of 1.70 kg, a weatherproof design and a 10 hour battery life, the µS2G2 is the instrument of choice to carry out the maintenance inspection of critical assets in an efficient manner.

When used with a rugged tablet such as the GETAC A140, it forms a truly portable eddy current inspection system. With its standard 41-pin ECA connector and integrated multiplexer, it is compatible with a wide variety of probes available on the market.

Benefits

A lightweight and weatherproof device

  • Temperature: -15 deg. celsius to 60 deg. celsius
  • manuf. Battery indicates that it withstands up to 70 degrees celsius.
  • Two real-time alarms for line inspection
  • Battery life: 10 hours
  • Compatible with all SG NDT probes
  • Two encoder inputs for manual or motorized scanning
  • Wi-Fi function
