A “remote” version of the ELOTEST\PL600, equipped with an identical hardware configuration, but without a user interface, is available for specific needs. ELOTEST\PL600 R, 19“ casing with 15 free slots for additional modules, ELOTEST\PL600 RC, in half of a 19“ casing with 6 free slots for additional modules. The Eddy Current devices are used with a computer software under Windows or Linux. Without a computer connected via HDMI + USB to a touch display or a standard display with a mouse.

The distance of the sensor relative to the part being tested is the most decisive influencing factor for the sensitivity of eddy current testing. If the sensor distance cannot kept constant, 2 measures can be taken: By default, we deploy special distance compensation probes in combination with use of the electronical distance compensation from the Instrument ELOTEST PL600 which works for distance variations up to 1 mm (+/- 0,5mm).

Today's non-destructive testing applications increasingly require complex movements of the sensor along the component to be inspected. So - based on our "large" universal test system EloScan- we decided to develop a new, compact robot cell. It can be adapted to various test tasks easily, e.g. by integration into the production line or if used for laboratory purposes. The system provides 2 different modes of operation. One mode allows the sensor to be moved along the contour of the component. The other mode concerns moving the component relative to the fixed sensor by use of an appropriate gripper. The robot cell can be completed by a tool changing station, additional measuring devices or user-specific installations. Last not least it is possible to expand the robot kinematics by adding further linear or rotational axes.

Railway rails and switches are highly stressed components by increasing traffic (load cycles), increasing axle loads and increasing speeds, especially on high-speed lines. Therefore, depending on the load profile, the installed rails must be carefully checked. The mobile ROHMANN WPG D340 inspection trolley is made of ultra-light carbon fiber and can be handled by just one person. Several sensors, each equipped with ceramic wear protection underneath, are guided very precisely along the running edge of the rail by a patented magnetic holder. Single-channel eddy current testing instrument for automated testing. The ELOTEST IS3 is designed for installation in automated testing machines. The single-channel testing device, designed in protection class IP54, can be integrated directly into the production process, e.g. in automatic screw inspection machines. This compact and modular system closes the gap between a manual device and a fully automatic testing system. Once the test piece has been inserted, the automated test sequence starts. The spindle sets the test piece in rotation and a probe moves along the test piece by means of two interpolating servo axes. After completion of the test, the sorting result is displayed optically and acoustically.

Rotary testing of flat and round material offers special advantages: it enables dynamic testing for small damage with high spatial resolution and high sensitivity independent of the feed speed, which can also be very small - in extreme cases even " stagnant ". This ensures that the filter technology of dynamic testing is used to its full extent and most interference effects can be suppressed. Disc sensors are used for surface testing, hand rotors for smaller boreholes, internal rotors for larger boreholes and pipe inner surfaces and external rotors for the outside of the pipe. For both the inner and outer rotors, systems are available for the size range from 0.8 mm to 200 mm. Depending on the testing task, absolute, differential or multi-difference sensors are used.

Compact high-performance rotor for contact-free continuous testing of round materials such as wires, bars and tubes in the dimension range 1.5 - 15 mm. Built in a solid and anodized aluminium case, this rotor is used for the detection of longitudinal and transverse defects with longitudinal components from 20 µ defect depth. Due to its compact design, the rotor can be easily integrated into existing testing or transport lines. The average run-through height is 35 mm. The fixed RD or adjustable RDE rotating test probes are available for testing in the entire dimension range from 1.5 - 15 mm. The test track width is defined according to the application by adapted sensors. The NovoSort 9-way sorting gate is designed for diameter ranges up to 12mm and sorts with speeds from 0.9 seconds per part. The control and monitoring system is integrated into the sorting gate and designed for both manual and continuous operation in the production line. (Integrated sorting control: the switch and stopper are monitored by light barriers, the sorting coil is placed directly on the sorting unit).
