Ultrasonic inspection is a nondestructive testing method to inspect the internal structure of materials and is widely used in multiple industries. It is commonly used to detect materials’ flaws, defects, and other discontinuities.
Some typical applications of Ultrasonic Inspection at QMN CONSULTANTS include:
Automotive:
We use Ultrasonic Inspection technology to detect flaws in components that could affect the performance and safety of the vehicle. Our NDT Level III engineers developed the methods for detecting internal flaws in metal components, nodular cast iron, and case depth inspection of induction hardening components.
Aerospace:
We inspect aircraft components for cracks, corrosion, and other defects that could affect the structural integrity of the aircraft.
Construction:
We inspect the quality and integrity of welds in construction projects and detect defects in concrete structures.
Oil and Gas:
Inspecting the pipes, tanks, and other equipment for corrosion, erosion, and other defects that could affect the safety and efficiency of the plant operations and equipment.
Power Generation:
Using to inspect turbine blades, generators, and other components in power plants for cracks, corrosion, and other defects that could affect the performance and reliability of the power generation plant and equipment.
QMN Consultants experts use ultrasonic technology to ensure the quality and safety of materials and components, saving costs and keeping the plant associates safe. Based in Cambridge, we provide ultrasonic inspection services for various industries, including aerospace, automotive, and power generation.
