RobotiX Part Loaders

RobotiX part loaders allow for automatic part loading and unloading for reduced cycle times and increased productivity. Our RobotiX solutions, when combined with our Assisted Defect Recognition software, can significantly automate the X-ray inspection process. This is more important than ever in a tight job market where human capital is at a premium. Set-up and operation of our RobotiX loaders are effortless through a simple interface that allows the operator to easily create new robotic motion programs. RobotiX motion programs are created through NSI’s efX-DR acquisition software. This feature allows the user to program the robot and configure the image acquisition parameters all through a single software interface. This means your operators don’t have to learn another software program, which saves your company valuable time and money.

RobotiX Part Manipulators

RobotiX part manipulators allow you to scan more parts quicker for reduced cycle times and increased productivity. Scanning parts with complex geometries can require you to get scans from different angles. If done manually, someone is required to reposition parts and possibly change out fixtures. Time is wasted as each time the X-ray tube shuts off and the door has to open and close. Our RobotiX part manipulators can eliminate wasted time by repositioning parts as needed for each scan.

Computed Tomography works by taking hundreds or thousands of 2D Digital Radiography projections around a 360 degree rotation of an object. Proprietary algorithms are then used to reconstruct the 2D projections into a 3D CT volume, which will allow you to view and slice the part at any angle. CT scanning gives you enhanced capabilities with versatility and product information that you cannot receive anywhere else. Computed Tomography X-ray inspection is a completely nondestructive and noncontact method for obtaining internal and external information on just about any object ranging from microns to feet in size!

See inside your products without destroying them. Our 2D Digital Radiography (DR) X-ray inspection services use the most advanced X-ray systems to let you see beyond the surface of your product. Digital Radiography is a 2D X-ray inspection method using a digital X-ray detector in place of X-ray film. You can make scan adjustments on the fly and apply digital image enhancements quickly and easily.

The MeVX Series

When you need to have the answers, what’s the true cost of not having enough energy? When inspecting large, dense, or thick materials; penetration can be difficult with energies of 450 kV and less. Noise, Scatter, and beam hardening artifacts negatively impact the image fidelity. The MeVX9 uses a 9 MeV linear accelerator (LINAC) to not only improve penetration but also image quality.

The Power of High Energy

Nine million electron volts paired with proprietary scatter reduction technology; NSI’s MeVX9 has the power to get through your most difficult parts. As you can see with the Turbo Pump shown here, the added penetration significantly reduces artifacts. The reduction of these artifacts allows for better defect detection, geometrical representations of part features, and surfacing of volumetric data for nominal comparisons.
