The NDT department offers Mobile Darkroom Services that can be set up on site, to ensure that results and turnaround times are speedy. All equipment is calibrated according to SANS standards and always kept in good condition.
HEAT TREATMENT
Heat treatment is our key area of expertise, in which we deliver the following professional services:
- POST-WELD HEAT TREATMENT (LOCAL AND FURNACE)
- PRE-HEAT
- NORMALISING
- DE-GASSING (HYDROGEN DIFFUSION)
- HIGH VELOCITY COMBUSTION (FURNACE AND ON-SITE)
As a result of our Heat Treatment expertise, we can offer the industry a host of heat treatment processes, designed to ensure desired material properties of steel and alloys. All equipment is inspected prior to work commencement. Temperature charts are fully identified and referenced with respect to the thermocouple / trace arrangements. The charts also identify heat treatment temperatures, date(s) and time(s) and are accompanied by reports completed and signed off by a heat treatment technician.
