Overview
Founded in 2005, National Inspection Services provides a full range of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) services for the industrial oil and gas industries. To better service our customers, we currently have a total of 6 fully operable locations in 2 states( Louisiana and Texas) in which we dispatch crews anywhere in the continental United States. Our core services include Industrial Radiography(internal & external), Ultrasonic Shearwave and Phased Array, Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, Positive Material Identification, Brinell Hardness, external corrosion surveys via laser scanning (Creaform), welder qualification and Visual Inspection.
National Inspection Services, LLC's senior management team possesses more than 60 years of NDT experience and hands-on expertise in all aspects of NDT, ensuring that our services are highly reliable and professional.
We offer the latest in NDT equipment and technology, including more than – ¾ ton (4×4) mobile radiography units that are all fully equipped to perform radiography testing, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, and liquid penetrant testing inspections on-site – providing our clients with fast, accurate results. We currently employ more than 250 technicians and assistants. With experienced personnel, multiple locations, and a wide range of resources, NIS can complete projects of almost any size.

Ultrasonic Testing: (Shearwave)
Our ultrasonic shearwave technicians have been trained to meet all industry standards. We utilize digital ultrasonic instruments to detect, size, and map out flaws in various welded components.
Ultrasonic Thickness Testing
Our technicians are all qualified to perform ultrasonic thickness testing on various materials. We utilize Olympus and other credible equipment to determine the thickness of materials.
Radiography Testing
We Specialize in Quick, Accurate, and High-Quality Radiography Testing.
Radiography Testing of conventional land-laid pipelines is the core business of National Inspection Services. We are proven experts in this field and are dedicated to the radiographic testing of welds to all industry standards including ASME, API, and AWS.
Radiographic Testing (RT) is an extremely popular non-destructive testing (NDT) inspection technique, thanks to its versatility in detecting a wide range of defects on multiple materials, and its ability to produce a permanent record of each inspection. Our staff of qualified, certified, professional radiographers operate within strict safety parameters.
We produce high-quality radiographs that allow us to utilize our interpretation skills honed through many years of experience to determine if an anomaly is an artifact, or if it can be accepted per code requirements.
Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing
Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing
Phased Array is the most advanced ultrasonic testing technique in the industry. Our technicians utilize the OmniScan MX2 to perform phased array ultrasonic testing of welds.
Phased array testing is a computerized process that provides a very detailed and accurate image of the weld, which allows technicians to determine the exact length, height, and depth of any defects that may be found. All welds are examined to industry standards including ASME, API, and AWS. We provide customers with quick, reliable results on-site, with all work being performed safely and efficiently.
