Inspector KITs for NDT
The ultimate inspector kit, “Stockholm” (PN: K001) to carry field inspections professionally and reliably. All UV lights included are tested and certified to comply with ASTM E3022-18.
Stockholm kit (PN: K001) includes 3 highly durable UV lights and 1 UV and White Light meter:
- MB 3.0 ZEUS handheld UV light with Athena spray can holder – PN: L122;
- UVG3 2.0 MIDNIGHT UV Flashlight – PN: L135;
- UVG5 2.0 MIDNIGHT UV Headlight – PN: L128;
- APOLLO 3.0 UV and White Light meter – PN: M505.
UV lights in the standard kit can be replaced with other models within the same series upon request. Selected UV models from each Series have been tested to comply with ASTM E3022-18, Rolls-Royce RRES 90061 and Airbus AITM6-1001.
Members of the US military should ask for PN: K002 as it has been customized to meet USAF requirements.
Three additional KITs are available, Gothenburg (PN: K003), Malmo (PN: K004) and Uppsala (PN: K005), if not all four units are required.
MB 3.0 Series UV LED light
MB 3.0 Series products, Zeus, Hermes, Selene and Atlas are lamps with a powerful and wide UV-A output varying from 4 000 to 9 000 μW/cm2. Zeus and Selene offer a strong white light for after-inspection as well. Hermes and Atlas do not have a white light for organizations that do not allow white light during inspections.

High-quality UV-A LEDs, with white light block filters that do not suffer from solarization, provide a large coverage, depending on which model, over 8-9 inches / 20-22 cm, and weigh less than many comparable products. The mains-operated model weighs just 0.65 kg (1.4 lbs) and the battery-operated model weighs just 0.68 kg (1.5 lbs). They are widely used for field inspections or on an MPI bench. All MB 3.0 Series models have an ingress protection certification of IP68. All four models above have a RISK CLASS 3 classification as per IEC 62471.
Please be advised that generic UV lights that have several UV LEDs mounted within a few millimetres from one another in a small housing create an excessive amount of heat which significantly shortens the life of the LEDs. Due to the small housing and a large number of LEDs, you cannot observe the LEDs failing as there is still some light coming out, albeit diminishing rapidly, unable to verify compliance with ASTM E3022 and consequently NADCAP checklists. ASTM E3022 requires that critical components such as failed LEDs be replaced before use.
Cosmos UV LED Stationery light
Cosmos is a UV light, specifically designed for wash stations, it has excellent heat management and allows you to be in control. You can visually inspect if there is a problem with any UV LED and you can maintain the light on your own as ASTM E3022-18 is not applicable for wash stations.
Replacement LED parts are available for you to stock and replace onsite if needed. Cosmos can cover with UV an area of 7 X 7 feet (2 x 2 meters), with a minimum of 300 µW/cm2, from a distance of 10 feet (3 meters). Can you say the same for any other light? Cosmos comes with a 3-year warranty.
Cosmos had its official launch at the 2021 ASNT in Phoenix, AZ and participants had the opportunity to examine the robustness and functionality of the light and verify the output and performance on a large 10 X 10 feet (3 x 3 meters) screen. The picture was taken from the same event.
