ULTRASONIC TESTING (UT)
Ultrasonic testing (UT) is a family of non-destructive testing techniques based on the propagation of ultrasonic waves in components and can be used to detect internal flaws or to characterize materials.
Johnson & Allen supply a range of Ultrasonic equipment for performing precision thickness measurements on critical components and to assess the integrity of steel structures prone to corrosion and erosion.
HARDNESS TESTERS
Simple to use Hardness Testers for measuring the hardness of metals using the Leeb impact rebound method. Johnson & Allen supply a range of Proceq Hardness Testers which includes portable pen type Hardness Testers - Ideal for quick verification. And units for more in-depth analysis which can be supplied with specialised impactors for measurements on thin materials.
